Case Study - What to Sell?

The first thing that I need to think about is what to sell as my first item on eBay? After looking through all of my possessions and under my bed I actually find an old mobile phone in its box with all its original contents!

I totally forgot about this mobile because I got an upgrade with my contract so just assumed I would not use it again. I am a bit wary of selling this item as my first product on ebay because it is quite a valuable product and most researchers tell you not to sell anything to big on your first encounter with eBay!

Most experts advice you to sell a CD, DVD or a book just so that you get use to selling on eBay. However, after looking on eBay myself I soon find that the mobile I have is quite an up to date product and one that is extremely popular on eBay. Most of the mobiles in the same condition as mine with all its contents seem to be going for anything between £40-£100 so I feel that it is worth the risk.

Especially within the mobile industry because the industry moves so fast and mobiles quickly go out of date or become unfashionable so it is vital that I try and sell at at a good price before it becomes any more dated.
