Item Title and Description
Title
The item title is the name of the item that you are selling and this is what buyers first see when they are searching through lists of other items.
You need to ensure that you make your title as eye catching as possible so that the buyer will take a closer look at your item. Also you need to remember that you have a limited amount of characters that you can input so think about it carefully.
If you were selling a Samsung mobile phone for example do not just say “Samsung Mobile Phone” make it more appealing describe it as “Samsung D600 Unlocked with all Accessories”. By doing so it will attract more buyers because you are describing it preciously.
Description
It is crucial that when you are describing the item you include as much detail as possible.
If you put yourself in the buyers position what would you want to know to make you bid for the item?
You would want to know exactly what the item's features where and the condition it is in. When describing what condition the item is in you must be honest!
Do not say it is immaculate if it is not, just say it has a few marks on it if it has. Be creative in what you write and do not be afraid to be personal.
By being natural and personal in what you say, you create a good impression with buyers and they will be willing to trust you which you will definitely need to make more sales on ebay.
A good tip for writing your description is listing it in bullet points. This makes it easier for potential buyers to read and will state the facts of the item.
Some sellers on ebay tend to use bright colors and fancy effects but it is suggested that you do not do this and just keep your description simple and basic.
