day 10
Case Study - Day 10
My item has now been viewed 60 times and is £41! I can see from the amount of times my item has been viewed that numerous ebayers have shown interest and I should hopefully reach the £50 mark my lunchtime today! "My Ebay" account also tells me that 3 people are specifically watching this item which is also a good sign that I will receive a number of last minute bids!
The auction is one hour away from closing and it has attracted a lot of potential buyers. It has now been viewed 82 times, has 5 ebayers watching the item and is priced at £42!!
The item finally sold for £62 in the last minute of the auction! It was extremely exciting to watch everyone making bids however I have some issues that I would like to bring to your attention. Basically, the person that eventually won the bid lives in Canada and I specifically stated that I would only post within the UK!
Therefore, the entire auction could be a waste of time because I may need to re-list the item! I decided that I had to email the winning bidder immediately saying that I was not prepared to send the item to Canada, therefore their bid would not be accepted. Then I discovered that you can offer the mobile to the other bidders as a "Second Chance".
So I emailed the 2nd highest bidder to see if they still want to purchase the item. They have 24 hours to decide if they want it! I am extremely angry at what has happened and it does show the down side of selling on eBay!!
I will need to wait and see if the 2nd highest bidder decides to take the offer or not. If they do they not then i will need to re-list the item and go through the entire process again!
